St. Luke EFC is trying something new to help accommodate parents who want to bring their children to Sunday school, but are not plugged into a Sunday school class. Due to our rural setting, it is not very convenient to drop children off, run home, then come back to pick them up from Sunday school before the family heads to church. With The Café these parents can now stick around while their kids are in Sunday school and have fellowship with other parents and adults.
Starting September 20 — The Café will meet on the first floor of the Community Christian Center. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
Hosts for The Café are: John and Patty Breckenridge, Don and MaryAnn Campbell, and Randy and Cinda Dowell. These couples are looking forward to providing a warm fellowship opportunity in an unstructured setting. This is also a convenient place for parents with smaller children, too young for the two-year-old class. Toddlers can run off steam in The Café and gym prior to church. As always, Toddler Time for 2 years to PreK is provided during the sermon portion of the Worship Gathering.
