God’s Riches in Christ 1:Power Encounters in a Pagan City

Acts 19

What would you do if you walked into a prosperous, populous pagan city?
Would you look at it as an overwhelming task, to reach and evangelize
225,000 plus people who are far from God?
Or would you roll up your sleeves and go to work,
knowing it was Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations,
including the people in this pagan city?

The Apostle Paul had this experience when he arrived in Ephesus
nearly 2,000 years ago. He discovered a wealthy, highly
developed city with beautiful architecture, a huge library,
and a temple to the goddess Artemis that was one of the
Seven Wonders of the Ancient World!
He discovered a culture immersed in sorcery and the magic arts.
He found demon possession so common that some
people made a living at exorcisms, casting out evil spirits.

Where do you begin? How do you begin?
What kind of results could one person expect to have
in an overwhelmingly pagan environment?

Discover the impact of one individual sold out to Jesus
and how we can see similar results in our world today.
