Living Sacrifices 8: Our Duty to Our Fellow Man

living-sacrifices-logo2Romans 13:6-10; 1 Peter 2:13-17; Luke 20:22-26

To many the word “duty” is like a dirty word.
In our age of entitlements,
“people owe me. Don’t tell me that I owe them!”
Yet God clearly lays out four duties to our fellow men
here in this section of Romans 13.

Some of this text even comes across as meddling
in what we often think of as our private business.

Some of it seems downright unspiritual.
What does God care about such things as taxes
and our personal finances?
Yet we will see that all of these things affect
our testimony for Jesus Christ and whether
we shine as lights in a dark world.
